La Cage donates $10,000 to the CHUM Foundation

December 16 2024

For the second consecutive year, La Cage is pleased to offer its support to the Guy Lafleur Fund of the CHUM Foundation. During its Back-to-Sports campaign last September, $1 was donated for every pizza sold.

The result: an impressive donation of $10,000 to support the development of the personalized medicine program in oncology, a crucial advancement for thousands of families facing this disease.

This initiative, driven by the vision of Jean Bédard, member of the major campaign Cabinet and President and CEO of Groupe Grandio, successfully mobilized the generosity of La Cage’s loyal customers. It is through contributions like this that together we can continue to outpace the disease.

We want to thank everyone who contributed in any way to this significant donation. Together, let’s continue to give back.

The story behind the Guy Lafleur Fund

In 2021, after receiving oncology treatments at the CHUM, Mr. Guy Lafleur chose to partner with the CHUM Foundation by creating a fund in his name. This fund reflects his deep desire to give hope to all those battling cancer.

Then, in 2022, his son Martin, guided by human and family values, became the ambassador of the Guy Lafleur Fund. Donations made to this fund directly support cancer research at the CHUM Research Centre, enabling the development of a personalized medicine program in oncology. This program aims to offer each patient a treatment tailored to their genetic and molecular profile, providing tangible hope.
